Get Creative With Our Interactive Floor Plans

March 20, 2019

Are you looking at floor plans and trying to imagine how they’d look with a few tweaks here and there? It would be so much easier if you could just make all those changes right on the screen. Homes By Taber has given you that power. Stop guessing and wondering. Get creative with our interactive floor plans on our new website!

We make the buying process more fun by giving you the opportunity to add here, move this, or change that.

To start, browse our gallery of floor plans. You can narrow down the options according to the total square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and your price range. You can even organize the search results by price and home size.

For example, maybe you like the Sage floor plan. This one gives you options for a new home that ranges from 1,850 to 2,300 square feet of interior living space. On the floor plan’s page, you’ll see a box with “Personalize This Floor Plan”. Click on “Get Started” and you’ll see the interactive floor plan. Go to “Design” below the plan.

On the left, you can choose the options and elevations. Look at the list of available options for the Sage—there are 18 of them. This versatility is one of the reasons this home design is so popular. Scroll to view your choices.

As you go down the list, you decide you might like a mud bench in the foyer, a side access door for the garage, and add two more feet on your back patio. Click on each of these options and you can see the changes on the floor plan. You can even add in a coffered ceiling in the living room, or maybe you’d prefer a vaulted ceiling here. Check out each one.

Now, add in a second-floor bonus room. Do you want the bathroom in the front or behind the bonus room? Try it both ways to see what you like.

The Sage has 3 choices for elevations. The first one here is the single-level version. The next 2 elevations include the second-floor bonus room, with different placement of the garage below (bathroom in the front or the back).

Next, let’s look at the colors for your new home’s exterior. Click the right-facing arrow at the bottom of the page, then go to “Design”. The left side of the screen pops up with curated color palettes. For the Sage, we have 6 different color schemes preloaded for you to play with. But maybe you want to change the color of the trim and the door. You can do that! We offer 4 different colors for the front door and 5 options for the trim. You can do the same with the siding, shake, shutters, garage, brick, and wood. Mix and match to build the color palette that best reflects your personal taste.

Once you have something that feels right, save the revamped plan to your “Favorites” and download it. Build as many variations as you want. Homes By Taber’s website also lets you compare your choices.

Get everything just the way you want and send us what you’ve come up with. Frankie Lewis will get back to you with more information on this plan.
