Homes By Taber makes sure your home is airtight to prevent leaks. But we also pay attention to the quality of the air you’re breathing indoors.
Whether you’re fast asleep or wide awake, a happy home is a healthy home—one where you can count on exceptional indoor air quality. We build our homes with extreme energy-efficient systems so you’re not using (and paying for) energy to combat drafts.
As part of our Proudly Overbuilt commitment, Homes By Taber takes extra steps to optimize indoor air quality. Every home includes Healthy Home Technology with a 1.) whole-home air filtration system, 2.) fresh air intake, and 3.) stovetop ventilation through the roof.
Healthy home technology is one more reason you can breathe easily when you choose Homes By Taber.
The air you breathe inside is about five times more polluted than what you inhale outdoors. The average adult takes in about 3,000 gallons of air every day, according to the EPA, and spends about 90% of their time indoors. Headaches, nausea, fatigue, and congestion can all result from poor indoor air quality, as well as contribute to respiratory problems.
Do you know what’s floating around in the air you breathe inside your home? You might not want to know. It’s filled with dust mites, allergens, mold, carbon monoxide, radon, chemicals, pet hair, debris, and much more. From air fresheners and candles to cleaning products and even chemicals on clothing and furniture, you’re exposed to a lot more pollutants than you might expect. No matter how much you clean your home, you’re fighting a losing battle unless you filter the air.
Homes By Taber’s air filtration system purifies the air you breathe throughout your home. We use a MERV 13 air filter to remove microscopic particles, purifying the air inside your home about 100 times more than our competitor’s systems. The MERV 13 is the standard for places like hospital laboratories where air purity is critical. For more information, read our blog post on whole-home air filtration.
Inhale. Exhale. There’s nothing like a breath of fresh air to invigorate you. Homes By Taber wants you to have that same exhilaration when you’re inside one of our homes. Our fresh air intake system provides a steady flow of clean air coming into your home. The system pulls in fresh air from outside, passes it along through the air filtration system, and maintains the right pressure to keep a steady, quiet flow in and out of your home.
The smoke, steam, grease, and fumes that inevitably happen when you’re cooking shouldn’t be allowed to remain in your kitchen. As part of our higher standards for standard features, Homes By Taber installs a vented hood above your cooktop to draw out the smoky air and odors. The system sends it outside through a duct, rather than just recirculating that unwanted air in the room. Your kitchen stays cleaner and fresher smelling, while also protecting your indoor air quality.
“Taber, you have a fantastic team! Thanks for building our dream home!”
