The city of Choctaw, OK is the oldest chartered town in the Oklahoma Territory and is located only 10 miles east of Oklahoma City, making it a great place to live and still have an easy commute.
Choctaw has a fun history with events to celebrate it. The famous Old Germany Restaurant host an annual, eight-day Oktoberfest event featuring German food, beer, wine and dancing. The town has a small museum dedicated to beer steins and it's family friendly.
With an average of only 15 students per teacher, Choctaw offers fantastic education for both young and older students, with a highly ranked public school system and vocational tech schools. The high schools are known for their athletic programs as well.
Students graduating from Choctaw High School also have the opportunity to take advantage of the "Ticket to Rose" program at Rose State College. Ticket to Rose provides a scholarship for tuition and mandatory fees for all graduates of Choctaw High School.
