Takes Extra Steps to Optimize Air Quality
1
Air Filtration System
The air you breathe inside is about five times more polluted than what you inhale outdoors. The average adult takes in about 3,000 gallons of air every day, according to the EPA, and spends about 90% of their time indoors. Headaches, nausea, fatigue, and congestion can all result from poor indoor air quality, as well as contribute to respiratory problems.
2
Fresh Air Intake
There’s nothing like a breath of fresh air to invigorate you. Homes By Taber wants you to have that same exhilaration when you’re inside one of our homes. Our fresh air intake system provides a steady flow of fresh air into your home. The system pulls in fresh air from outside, passes it along through the system, and maintains the right pressure to keep a steady, quiet flow in and out of your home.
3
Stove Top Ventilation
The smoke, steam, grease, and fumes that inevitably happen when you’re cooking shouldn’t be allowed to remain in your kitchen. As part of our higher standards for standard features, Homes By Taber installs a vented hood above your cooktop to draw out the smoky air and odors. The system sends it outside through a duct, rather than just recirculating that unwanted air in the room.
4
Low VOC Paint on Walls
Homes by Taber uses low VOC paint on all walls throughout the home to contribute to increased air quality for the homeowners.
Organic Compounds (VOCs) emit odors and pollutants for weeks or even months after a new home is built. VOCs can negatively contribute to overall air quality in a home.
5
Termite Bait Stations
Homes by Taber protects homeowners from termite threats by installing Trelona Bait Station Systems, providing a blanket of protection around the perimeter of your biggest investment. This system is designed as a fast, reliable, long-term environmental termite solution that is recognized by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) as the best technology available in termite pretreatment. It's non-toxic and safer than the spray options, which can cause health issues with reactions to harmful chemicals. Click to learn more.
