Energy Efficiency
AC Unit
We install a 15 SEER AC and 96% efficient furnace, not only because it’s more energy-efficient—saving our customers an enormous amount of money—but because it makes our customers’ homes more comfortable by maintaining a more constant temperature.
Air Tight House
There’s nothing like a breath of fresh air to invigorate you. Homes By Taber wants you to have that same exhilaration when you’re inside one of our homes. Having a tight home envelope is essential for energy-efficiency but it can also trap the bad air inside. Our fresh air intake system provides a steady flow of fresh air into your home. The system pulls in fresh air from outside, passes it along through the system, and maintains the right pressure to keep a steady, quiet flow in and out of your home.
Blown-In vs. Batts Insulation
Insulation is important to the comfort and energy efficiency of your home, so let me explain about how Homes By Taber ensures you get the right protection to keep the inside temperatures—hot OR cold—from getting inside.
Radiant Heat Barrier
We also apply a radiant heat barrier, to the underside of the roof. It has a foil laminate on the bottom and roof decking on the top. What this does is reduce the UV rays from permeating your home. By reflecting that heat back outside, you save about 20% on your home heating and cooling costs. *Not included in Blue Series homes.
Mastic
We pay our HVAC contractor to do an additional process called “masticking". The mastic is applied around every seem or joint, preventing leakage. It’s another step we take to make sure your home is as airtight as we can make it.
Energy Savings
Another important feature of your home is its energy efficiency. We don’t just promise an energy-efficient home. We certify it. The Home Energy Rating System—or “HERS”—is a third-party certification for energy-efficiency.

At Homes by Taber, we install a front and back sprinkler system, fully sodded front and back yards, as well as an enhanced landscaping package to complete your outdoor living space.
Hassle Free Sprinkler System
In addition to the fully sodded yards and enhanced landscaping that is included in our homes, Homes by Taber includes a full sprinkler system in every single home we build.
Indoor Living
Eggshell Paint
Homes By Taber only uses eggshell finish paint in our homes, as opposed to flat that most builders include. Flat paint doesn’t stand up to cleaning, while eggshell paint is wipeable—which is particularly important when you have kids with dirty hands or crayons that just seem to get out of control. These small details add up to big stress relievers when you live every-day life in your new home.
Why Eggshell Paint?
Homes by Taber uses eggshell paint in every home built to protect their buyer's investment and keep it looking new. Eggshell paint comes in all of the same colors as flat paint does, so to us, there is no reason to not use eggshell paint in our homes.

We clearly label each circuit so you can manage the power to any room in your home without having to guess or play trial and error.
24-Hour Emergency Warranty Team
Our warranty program is one of the biggest differentiators for Homes By Taber. We have a fully staffed, in-house warranty department. It’s not a superintendent or outsourced somewhere else. They are 100% dedicated, full-time to serving our customers’ warranty issues. You can call any time—weeknights and weekends included, and you’ll talk to a person—not a machine.
