Plans for Expansion in 2021

While many other local and national builders have struggled to secure land, develop neighborhoods and create inventory as the demand for new-construction homes stays high, Homes by Taber has been working tirelessly to continue to bring our high-quality homes to sought-after areas in Oklahoma. 

We’re almost halfway through 2021, and there's so much we’ve accomplished for our current and future homeowners, as well as the surrounding communities, this year. Read on to learn about new markets on the horizon, communities in progress and how we’re working to give back and improve Oklahoma. 

Expanding to new markets

After over 20 years of creating communities and homes throughout the Oklahoma City area, Homes by Taber has decided to bring our Proudly Overbuilt homes to other parts of the state—giving a whole new meaning to our title of Oklahoma’s Favorite Builder. We’re thrilled to be expanding to two new housing markets in Oklahoma, Tulsa and Tuttle, in 2022. 

The Tulsa, OK market is set to include new-construction communities in the most desirable parts of the metro, starting with Broken Arrow, Bixby, Catoosa, Owasso, and Jenks. Why did we choose these specific areas? Because they have so much to offer residents, and there is a demand for new Taberhoods to help make them even more enticing. 

Jenks, OK is rated by niche.com as the #1 Best Suburb to Buy a House in Oklahoma, and the Jenks Public Schools system is consistently listed as the #1 Best School District in Oklahoma. This family-friendly town is full of noteworthy attractions, like the Oklahoma Aquarium, the Jenks Garden Club, numerous antique stores that earned Jenks the title of Antique Capital of the World from the former First Lady of Oklahoma, and many anticipated events. 

Another exceptional Tulsa-area town we’re expanding into is Owasso, OK. With a mid-size population of over 30,000 people and many appealing amenities, it’s a great place to live when you’re looking for quick access to Tulsa (just a 20-minute drive) and a tighter-knit community. Owasso Public Schools are also highly rated, sitting just a few spots below Jenks on the list of Best School Districts in Oklahoma and at #2 in Best School Districts in Tulsa. 

Although a suburb of Tulsa, Broken Arrow, OK is a bustling city in its own right with around 100,000 residents happy to call it home. Young professionals will enjoy easy access to plentiful job opportunities and families can appreciate the highly rated school district, well-maintained city parks, and endless activities around town throughout the year. 

Building in Bixby, OK was another no-brainer for Homes by Taber. This Tulsa suburb is listed as one of the best places to live in Oklahoma by niche.com, with highly rated schools that earned the College Success Award, a small-town feel and attractions like the Washington Irving Memorial Park & Arboretum—featuring walking trails, a butterfly garden and outdoor amphitheater. 

Catoosa, OK is a cozy town outside of Tulsa that provides residents with a slower pace of life. Although on the small side, it has popular points of interest, including The Hard Rock Casino, a famous Route 66 landmark known as The Blue Whale of Catoosa, multiple museums and expansive public parks. 

While we’re obviously excited about our expansion into the Tulsa area, we’re also excited to be adding another town to the Oklahoma City market. Tuttle, OK is a small town, perfect for families, retirees and young professionals. A highly rated public school system, with Tuttle High School earning the College Success Award, and tight-knit community atmosphere makes Tuttle an amazing addition to our offerings in the OKC metro.  

Communities in progress

Homes by Taber has broken ground on two upcoming communities in two areas we know best, and have received a high demand to build in. 

Broadmoore Heights in Moore, OK and Canyons in Mustang, OK will soon offer the high-quality features, TaberTech smart home technology, Healthy Home Technology, award-winning energy efficiencies and trendy-yet-timeless personalization options that you’ve come to expect. Canyons will include neighborhood amenities like a splash pad, basketball court, playground and pond for residents to enjoy. Broadmoore Heights will have a private playground and a stocked fishing pond for residents.

Readily available new homes

Our strong reputation has earned Homes by Taber the trust of building partners, community leaders and residents—which helped make available inventory possible in a time when many interested homebuyers are feeling the pinch of the limited home inventory available. In addition to a few quick move-in homes sprinkled throughout the areas we build, we have three recently launched communities with more options for homeowners. 

Homes by Taber recently opened two new communities in desirable areas of Edmond. Cherry Hill is within the boundaries of Edmond School District’s newest and most awaited elementary school, Redbud Elementary. This community has its own private playground and tons of trees to paint the perfect backdrop to the East Edmond lifestyle. The Gardens at Kelly Lakes is a private, gated community with sought-after amenities like included yard maintenance, a community pool, playground, sand volleyball court and a clubhouse with a fitness center. A third newly released community can be found in Mustang, OK. Pine Canyon is an exclusive, one-phase neighborhood in the Mustang School District that offers a quiet place to live that is surrounded by trees and has oversized homesites to claim. See our homes under construction, or reserve one of the few remaining homesites and build one of the 24 available floor plans and personalize it to check all your boxes. 

Making an impact

Homes by Taber has always strived to have a lasting impact on the homeowners we build for—but being a true community partner means the work doesn’t stop at the neighborhood line. Taber Cares, Homes by Taber’s in-house charity committee, is committed to making a significant impact in Oklahoma by donating both money and time to various non-profit groups. 

After witnessing the difference TaberCares made for so many local charities in years past, we knew we had to go even further in 2021. That’s why we selected two nonprofits for each month of the year, 24 in total, to receive proceeds from our homes sold. Not even halfway through the year, we’re proud to have donated over $175,000 to a variety of organizations. By selling more homes, we can help out even more people inside and outside of our Taberhoods.
