In the summer of 2006, Homes by Taber participated in the Home Builders Blitz, a five day collaboration between Habitat for Humanity and home builders nationwide. This was the first year for Habitat for Humanity for partner with professional builders on a nationwide project. The Blitz helped provide over 400 homes to families in need across America.

Locally, Homes by Taber and other professional home builders worked with the Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity to provide ten families with new homes in Spencer, Oklahoma. Taber LeBlanc, owner of Homes by Taber, had this to say about the event:

"Working with the Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity was an excellent way for us to give back to the community. Instead of just giving money, we used our expertise and contacts to help Habitat build a house and provide a deserving family with a home. We were proud to be a part of the Builder’s Blitz."
